Lauki Halwa: A Sweet and Nourishing Treat

Lauki halwa, a traditional Indian dessert made from bottle gourd (lauki) and milk, is a delicious and nutritious treat. This delectable sweet is not only flavorful but also offers a host of health benefits.

RECIPE:

  1. In a Pan, sauté 1/2 cup squeezed bottle gourd (ghia/lauki), in 1tsp ghee.
  2. To this, add 1/2 cup milk, and stir this on a medium flame, until the milk reduces.
  3. Add 1 tsp jaggery.
  4. Garnish this with almonds, cardamom and pistachio to serve hot.
