Recipe: 

  1. Add half a cup of rice to a pressure cooker or a bowl
  2. .Wash the rice thoroughly
  3. .Soak the rice for 15-20 minutes, adding ½ tsp salt and 1.5 cups water.
  4. Cook the rice in a pressure cooker for 1-2 whistles or in a pan till rice cooks completely

  6. In another pan, heat ½ tbsp oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, and 1 tsp chana dal, 1 tsp urad dal, 4-5 curry leaves. Let all of these splutter.
  7. Once the curry leaves turn crisp add a pinch of Asafetida (hing). Turn off the stove
  8. .Add the mixed curd and rice, with a dash of salt.
